INTERNSHIPS

City Youth Now's Internship Program provides stipends and other
support, as needed, to help youth in the juvenile justice system
receive a little extra guidance and job training.
A supervising adult agrees to find an appropriate internship
placement for the youth; provides them with training, supervision
and additional support, as needed; and when possible, helps them
to find permanent employment.
City Youth Now provides a limited stipend upon completion of
the program. Last year, over 100 youth participated in our Internship
Program.
At the end of the program, the youth are required to submit a resume, a cover letter, a letter of recommendation from their supervisor and participate in a mock interview at our office.
It is our hope that these youth will be better prepared to successfully
transition out of the juvenile justice system.
