JESSE E. WILLIAMS III SCHOLARSHIP FUND

The Jesse E. Williams III Scholarship Fund was established at the request of Jesse E. Williams, Jr., former Chief Probation Officer of the San Francisco Juvenile Probation Department.

Eligible youth must be wards of the San Francisco Juvenile Probation Department, with a priority given to graduates of Log Cabin Ranch School.

This Scholarship Fund was created to honor the memory of his son, Jesse E. Williams, Jr., who was the victim of a homicide. To apply for this scholarship or recommend a youth, please fill out an application form.

 

EMANCIPATING TO REAL FREEDOM SCHOLARSHIP FUND

The Emancipating to Real Freedom Scholarship is bestowed upon a youth who was a ward of the San Francisco Foster Care System and who is continue their education beyond high school

It was established to provide additional funding and establish reorganization of an outstanding youth who has emancipated from foster care and who is pursuing higher education. To apply for this scholarship or recommend a youth, please fill out an application form.

Both scholarships are awarded at our annual March dinner. The deadline to apply is the last Monday in February.

Scholarship funds may be used for tuition, books, registration fees, or other appropriate expenses related to the pursuit of an advanced educational degree, advanced job training or entrepreneurship endeavors which enable youth to start or maintain their own businesses.

Eligible youth must be referred by Deputy Probation Officers, Juvenile Hall Counselors or Log Cabin Ranch Counselors, Social Workers, Case Managers, Youth Advocates, CASA Volunteers, or Attorneys.
