PROJECT K.E.E.P

K.E.E.P stands for "Kids Emergency Essentials Pack."
Every month, over one hundred children in San Francisco are removed
from their homes because of child abuse or neglect. These children
are taken to the Child Protection Center before being placed in
a foster care placement.
City Youth Now provides these children with a backpack filled
with items such as toiletries, a nice clean T-shirt, a pre-paid
phone card, colored pencils, paper, journals, and a cuddly teddy
bear
all aimed to provide some comfort during this very
scary time.
As economic turn over and budget cuts severely impact the funding at the Child Protection Center, City Youth Now is dedicated to expanding this program to include nylon rain jackets, umbrellas, and sweatshirts to help these young people endure the chilly San Francisco weather! All things that the Center is not able to provide at this time.
