Remember how exciting it was to get ready for the championship game? Or perform on stage for the first time?

Sometimes the most basic things can make a difference in a child's life—learning to play the guitar, painting a self portrait, taking karate classes or taking up a new hobby.

For children who are wards of the court, taken away from their birth families because they were abused or neglected, there is often no baseball practice, no after-school lessons, no scouting or music lessons, and no pottery nor art enrichment classes.

City Youth Now provides funds for youth in the foster care and delinquency systems to participate in these types of personal development activities. We provide funding for the classes, uniforms or supplies necessary to help youth find something that will help them increase their confidence and positive about their futures.
