The cast of The Color Purple visits with the girls of the San Francisco Youth Guidance Center
SAN FRANCISCO, CA — November 27, 2007 — Cast members of the play "The Color Purple" visited with the girls' unit of the San Francisco Youth Guidance Center. Attendees included Jennifer Jackson, Jeannette Bayardelle, Bridgette Bentley, and Michelle Williams of the pop music group, Destiny's Child. The actresses and girls sat in a circle and discussed everything from the importance and power of pursuing your dreams to the finer points of cooking greens. After the discussion, the cast visited the unit and signed copies of the book on which the play is based. Some of the girls and actresses had such a good time together that they exchanged addresses and promised to become pen pals.
