In California, foster youth are 44% less likely to graduate from high school or complete their GED. And of those that do graduate, only 38% of them will continue their education beyond high school or completion of their GED. With the odds stacked so high against them, City Youth Now is committed to providing funds and services to help these youth have a smoother, more successful transition to adulthood.

With your gift, City Youth Now will provide college-bound foster youth with a personal refurbished laptop computer and training. These youth are required to meet strict academic requirements, be enrolled in college, and attend a workshop on using their computer. In the technology age in which we live a computer is no longer optional when it comes to academic success—it is mandatory.
