INDIVIDUAL GRANTS — Camperships
What would it be like to grow up in the middle of a city like San
Francisco and never get across the Golden Gate Bridge or out into
the woods?
Every summer, City Youth Now provides funds for youth in the
juvenile court system to go to camp.
If it were not for these camp experiences, most of the children
we serve would never get to experience life outside of their own
neighborhood. For many, going to camp is their first chance to
get away from home for some fresh air (and perhaps even their
first glimpse at an animal in the wild.)

City Youth Now sent Sylvia to camp last summer. Her foster mother
writes, “It gave her an opportunity to see a different part
of outside and meet new people with positive attitudes. Thanks
so much for your donation to help Sylvia go to camp.”
